Final Remarks
In the Golden Triangle, there is rich history and examples of African-American men and women who fought for equal occupational opportunity and their right to an equal life. We were able to find the most research on the occupations for men because it wasn't as popular for women to be employed at the time. Out of necessity, we found that there were jobs for women but they were far more limited and salaries not as good. Lastly, we looked into the rare jobs of African American children. We were looking for jobs kids might have done to add whatever they could to the family income. This section was the most difficult because the majority of children went to school, were home schooled, or helped their parents around the house. This topic was interesting to research because it is an important part of our American history.
